This piece was made for SmArt School’s Beginning Illustration class under the mentorship of Marc Scheff.

The Parrot has undergone several changes and was an assignment to illustrate a scene from Brooke Bolander’s No Flight Without The Shattering but eventually, I decided to treat it as a stand alone image. It illustrates a lady turning into an extinct bird.
